GI resolution "Auto": How does it relate?
Probably the most fundamental question, however i still don't understand how the GI resolution "Auto" mode relates to the size of the scene. How can we know what is the GI res assigned when "Auto" is on? Does the "Auto" mode sets the Gi resolution adaptively or does it ...

KraySettings - Load & Save script
Here is a temporary make do of the Load/Save, in order to not violate G's kray.ls, I've just written 2 separate lscripts, one to load and another to save kray settings to a config file with extension *.Kraycfg Saving and loading will check if kray exist, otherwise would not run. you need to save you...

Translucency does not illuminate in Photonmapping mode
I've noticed that light bounce from translucent surface doesn't appear when render with photonmapping mode, but it is visible in pathtracing mode which is the correct look.
Could this be a bug, or did I do something wrong here?

i had the display problem too, when there is transparency, work around select all trans poly, cut and paste to sort the order and it fixes the problem. the only reason i use 8.5 is for the Pshop blending modes that i've requested for a long time and was implemented in that version. Pshop Multiply gr...

Baking and UV packing issues
Jure, thanks for the clarification. One more question, is it possible for current version of kray to have objects flagged to be unseen by photon and fg rays but seen by camera and reflection/refraction rays? It would be great that way to be able to mix trees and environment that has precalculated ba...

Great! Thanks a lot for the explaination, it works as you said. one thing i noticed with lightmap shared GI and sequence, the part where the camera stays longer will gather more photons than parts that just pan by quickly. so, is it better to rig for photonmap rather than lightmap if it were to be s...

Help, shared GI Both mode wierdness
How does shared GI Both mode suppose to work? I've did some simple test, but it seems that even with 'Both', Kray does not calculate the missing GI data not visible in previous frame, is this a bug?

It isn't a problem even if hd_instance crash on render in 9 or whatever, the method i suggest is just parsing the scene file for hd_instance parameters, and borrow its custom object interface to setup the instances. interprete and render in Kray. as long as the custom objects works, we've not nothin...

About shared GI and animation
What is the correct way to setup shared GI if it is to be distrubuted to render on say 5 machines? (for cases where only the camera moves) Here are a list of methods that i'm going to try but just need some advice before doing so. 1. If it is set to "Both" mode, which means each machines a...
