Can't wait to do real-time ArchViz at this quality. =) Probably still a few years away though.

Re: LW 8.5. kray misc tab empty
I would prefer the first option also, I love striving for photoreal.
So do you think I could get some work with the quality of the renders I have?

Re: LW 8.5. kray misc tab empty
I would like to but I need some money first. Any tips on getting work? Do you use freelancer, Elance or others? Here are some of my kray renders. I would appreciate your comments. Re: Error with cache irradiance and baking
Yes I know I have used those settings you provided for years but they cause problems with splotches for me when poly are intersected and I don't want to spend a day fixing models that render fine in other renders. QMC has too long render times compared with CI for baking, I have 100's of maps to bak...

LW 8.5. kray misc tab empty
So I updated my kray menu .ls and now I can use new features like texture baker extend edge and the FG passes settings, however I cannot set commandline options because the kray misc tab is empty. =( Any solutions to this? I am still using LW 8.5 because I do not get much rendering work. misctab.png

Re: Error with cache irradiance and baking
Hi Janusz, Yes you are right, the problem was minimum FG distance, when I put it really low 0.1% no more splotches or light leaks. See the attached image. This is great because now I have full control over kray, I can now finally do low accuracy GI but without splotches/error. Previously If I wanted...

Re: Error with cache irradiance and baking
Hi Janusz, I think you're missing the point, this is a bug, not a low gi problem, see attached. 1) I know I can use CI OFF, aka QMC, but renders take way too long and even if I use best noise removal software, it is still too long for my needs. 2) I have tried final gathering with high settings, 160...

Error with cache irradiance and baking
Hi guys, its been a while (checked last post was 2008!), I do not get much rendering work. Where is everyone getting there work from, are you guys all freelance? So, I found an error with kray in LW, there is some weird blurring applied by kray on wall polygon edges that are rendered with the camera...

Hey Direwolf, thanks for that, yeah I agree that would work, I thought of doing that but didn't want to because I wanted a totally automatic solution. I don't see why metering the full frame would cause such varying exposures verses spots. The thing I didn't think of was moving the Envelopes along t...

Automatic Exposure
Hi Guys, I am trying to achieve that video camera look thats been used in alot of the latest games where if you look at the ground the camera adjusts the amount of light it lets in and the image becomes brighter but then if you look up, everything is white for a while until the camera again adjusts ...
