After some investigation it seems the issue is more pronounced with higher quality settings.
This is worrying, as I cant work out what is happening, and I dont really want to have to fix in post.
Thanks for any input.

Re: area lights shadow banding
Hi Jure, Thanks for the reply. When I set the preset to low, it looks fine. When I set it to bespoke preset it seems to band. Nothing special going on with the lights. I will investigate with a basic scene. I have noticed on a couple of occasions the area lights have rendered like spherical lights. ...

Re: Dieletrics for liquids
I had an issue similar to this with LW renderer a couple of times. Once it was to do with overlapping polys, or polys not set up correctly for liquids in a glass (theres a few ways to approach this, but one correct one). Re: PhySky/ Photonmap/ Lightportals

PhySky/ Photonmap/ Lightportals
Hi All, If you use photonmap method, I understand background illumination like a gradient or Sunsky won't work (probably as there is no way to point to them as items for Lightportals). My question is, how does Physical Sky interact with Lightportals? Are there methods to make a connection between th...
