Re: dental product
I wouldn't like to have one of those in my mouth! my food would just like to hang :) Nice render. A bit of SSS is missing though. heh thanks, me neither ! yes, SSS was suggested on other forums as well, for this project is overkill, since the deadline is short and client already approved everything...

Re: dental product
Thanks !
I used this tutorial
http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/tutori ... index.html
It was pointed by me by Nico, and I think Johny had already pointed this tut here before.
it works really well, let me know how that goes

Hi Guys -
Another quick little project, attached a quick animation draft for client approval.
Awaiting comments for final render, anim took only about 1hr to render (low quality settings), so far loving the animation mode GI.
Thanks !

Re: Carpet and displacement ?
Can you show a simple example? :) Hi Ruslan, I posted this on another forum regarding Relief mapping, its in Italian, but you can see how the node is arranged and you can see how a 2 poly wall creates a pretty good result, it is a tad slower than regular bump map though, and the shadows it casts ar...

Re: med clinic waiting room
hey johny, thanks !
I have the main power at 0.8 now..
I was looking for the way to compensate for that, I can see that issue with the chrome reflections..
the window area has 2.0
the sun has 4.0
I will tweak the tailer now and see if I can reduce that diffusion effect on the refs.
thanks !

med clinic waiting room
Haven't been able to post a lot of stuff lately, here is a new project that Im working on, it will be a sequence of 3 animations to be used in a flash movie.
More to come, need to populate the space and tweak some issues.

Re: Living room
Mario - Looks good, but some images have an "open-GL" look to them, as if they were rendered by a realtime render engine, I think if you read Johny's suggestions (he's posted a lot, so it will be easy to search and even print his posts) you will be OK. The first thing that Im getting used ...

Re: again hello
Hi Mario -
Welcome back ! nice renders !
I just saw one glaring issue with the first render, the fact that the chairs do not seem to have smoothing or any material applied? (I might be wrong though) but I do see the polys definitely.
Looking good though ! congrats !

Another great render !
the ceiling looks a tad low though, but it might be a perspective issue.
Did you use relief mapping for the stones? that part looks great !

Re: Kitchen
excellent, no crits from me (well maybe one.. the plant's leaves look a little bit plastic, with some texture map or bump map would look more realistic)
looks great !
