Nice work Johny! AA is bit poor in the cabinet desk top edges, and don't like too much about the cabinet wood texture, it looks a bit weird. Other than that, the lightning is quite nice! (quite heavy colours also in the scene)

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can post some commercial stuff here in the near future done with Kray, not just these test images...

Though with the test images I can do just what I want (usually commercial archviz has to be brighter and not so contrasty etc)

Oh well, forgot the note... Usually in Kray you never use Specularity values, just diffuse + reflection...

One note about the materials, as I quickly checked your scene... Also this is weird, I try to render the object and it keeps quitting my layout...

I'll check this soon, try to post some images too for this :)

Atleast I got email like 2 days after registering to forums and buying Kray that I was added to the beta forums... So I guess it's not automatically done when you register to the forums... Or am I the one confused now here? :)

Very nice in speed also. Seems to me that the Kray uses the cores even better than some other renderers in LW (more true speed gain in processor speeds when you add cores).

Just gotta say WOW.

Neat renders, though I would love to see more light in scene... Anyway, one thing bothers me though, is why the chairs etc don't reflect on the floor, when the lights do reflect quite a lot...

Thanks! Yea it's definitely getting better all the time. Have to admit, I've been checking Kray for just a month or so (never heard of it before), and I got interested at once about it. So I bought it 2 weeks ago and here are the latest results... So it's quite "logical" in means of lightn...

Artistic Living Pt. 2

Ok, here's another one based on a photograph from a design book. I kinda like this one better, of course getting better in Kray skills too, but these are fun projects both. The GI quality could be better, some splotches here and there, but I'll re-render this anyway under the newer beta... Just real...

Thank you mate! Resolution is little bigger than that image (cropped it out to match the reference photo from a book). Machine specs are 2x dual core xeons, 2gig ram, win xp 32bit (actually this is mac pro with windows xp, but i've got same speeds with my cheaper computer, that has cheap core2quad p...

Design Room

Here's a test where I tried to mimic some reference photos lightning / reflection conditions. Pretty satisfied with the result.

Render time was 48 minutes.

I don't think we need fprime or anything, I've been getting to learn basic steps pretty fast of Kray now... Just gotta think like Kray :)

Your glass surface rocks btw!

Thanks mate! It's nice people share their setups, coz it might just be one percent tweak off and you still struggle for decent material for 30 minutes...

Hehe, didn't mean to offend anyone, it's just randomly pain in the ass just surfing this forum (compared to Spinquad or Newtek's forums). Or then again, I'm just used to those forums more... :) Shouldn't be too heavy stuff to adjust the next / previous page and post reply etc to be seen on the top o...
