Great! Seems you know a lot of different techiques, wasnt that you who also helped with that Newtek problem? :)

Great stuff, gotta try this out next time I need luminous polygons to light up something, though skyportals seem to make them pretty much unneeded from what I've heard... :)

Hiding luminous polygons, does it work in Kray!?

Hello all! I stumbled across interesting Node technique to hide luminous polygons from reflections also. I know if you use unseen by camera, your polygon is shown in reflections, so there's no way of hiding it, or is there!? Please all Internal testers, comment is this already supported on Kray, and...

Your windows SHOULD be enough for lightning that room. Basically what I would do, is NOT tweak any surface additive options etc, that's faking the light's transportation and can cause seriously bad results... Have you tried applying luminous polygons behind the windows (like area lights in fprime), ...

Ok, here's one idea about "what you're doing wrong"... You have Photoshop in your hands? Basic idea of photography as well as CG, is to check your levels in image. I got your image to PS and saw there was practically NOTHING in some points of levels, so I "deleted" them... Here's...

Are you sure you have global settings in LW right? (raytrace shadows etc turned ON)

I'm not seeing much shadows there? Love the mood and so on, but I would like to see heavier contact shadows (for chairs etc), because the light seems to come strongly from behind all those elements...

Ok I'm getting excited also with this stuff... Starting look real great... Is it easy also to use those sky portals?

Nice job mate! Only thing I would now pay attention is the surfacing of couches etc...

Lights seem nice, but the partly bad surfacing gives it away... Keep them coming bro! :)

Thanks mate! You really can explain stuff easily, I bet people will now understand better the use of lumilights... Though have to say that part thing was still pretty unknown to me... So you manually assign different luminous models as different parts in modeller, and that's it? No matter if they ha...

I suggest you leave area lights out as much as possible... You should get that same result using skydome around your house, adding it 400 % luminosity and then use the new krayindirect shader, multiply 2.0, maybe try with limited dr does for you... Then add photons around 500 000, multiply 2.0 and y...

Ok, here's my try of this... I removed the area lights from windows, and added a luminous sphere out side to light up the stuff... Don't see too much splotches... Render time was around 35 minutes for this one...

Well, there are SOME splotchess, but didn't have much time to tweak the settings...

Thanks again mate, Kray really rocks... G. you should make a T-shirts available with some neat slogan for Kray logo... Or just black t-shirt with white Kray symbol in back or front... It's nice design (who designed it btw?) Dunno if it's faster or not, but definitely light is more accurate when usin...

Well thank you! Basic stuff where you start tweaking is using luminous dome around the model to make the base light for the room (actually that's only light here besides the sun, coz so many windows) adding that luminous ball a surface of luminosity around 400%, with Kray Indirect shader multiply 2 ...

Commercial wip

Hey all mighty Kray'ers! :) Btw, how about doing Kray t-shirts with that neat logo (silver print would be nice) :) Anyway, here's a little commercial project I'm working on at the moment, rendered naturally in Kray, render time for this image was around 20 minutes (it's still for preview purposes, g...
