"smoothprecachescale ratio" more explained

From the manual:
"smoothprecachescale ratio"
This sound to me like an very important function wich i guess highly affects quality. I would like this function abit further explained if possible.

Autoexposure function explained

From the manual:
"postprocess autoexp,strength"

I would like this function a bit better explained since i really dont understand how to use it and when. Maybe some examples could clear the smoke.

Wow that could be an interesting shot when it's done. Is all Glasgeomtry singlesided? Have you turned off FG reflections/refractions? It looks like that since the glass is pretty dark and it shouldnt. Always leave FG trans/refr on. The squares you see is probably a documented bug that i guess comes ...

I just want to fill in that this type of lowlight setup will take ages to render in any renderer. Nice images and thanx for sharing pienri.

Nice to see your example. What values did you use? Have you used your usual well proven technique with photonmapping? 6Hrs sound very long and i miss shadows around/behind the paintings on the wall.

Final! for this little tutorial anyway. Thanx for being patient with me.
