amazing time and quality for a P4.
Do you have the vray benchmark rendered on the same machine?

Hi all, here is my test with the kray demo. The time render for the demo was about 3h and here is too, four test with lw9.3 interpolated final gather (30 min render time)

Ah good old 1.612.... I'm surprised anyone still wants to torture himself with such an old release...

which is which and on what system? 3h sounds very long for a 1.612 result like this, even on a slow old system. WHy 4 LW renders?

The first, second, third and fourth are the lw test. The lw test use interpolated final gather with different cameras modes. The last image was made with the demo of kray. My machine is an amd am2 4200+ dual core. Here is my settings for kray, I think that my settings isn't good.
And Jure, I used this version of kray because I don't have a better demo.
I think that the best resul of my tests was test05_4.JPG. This test took about 30 min. With interpolated final gather with 4 bounces and mes set to 10mm. 12AA and real lens camera.

A nice test would be to give me your exact scene and I will render it with present kray beta version with the exact settings you used and on the same machine with the 1.612 demo and also in LW9.3. After that I can try to optimize it and optimize as well in latest kray.
Your AMD machine uses one core of 2.1 GHz with kray 1.612 demo so that is slow indeed even when you halve the time (to compare to the dualcore LW9.3 time)
