Hi, I am new and please forgive my stupid question
I try to render some Xfrog small plants in kray but don't have the success. It seems that all lights are not turned on when rendering in kray. I can render these plants in Fprime and LW native renderer though.

Can anyone help me on this problem ? Thanks

Yes I can help, I hav had to convert alot of plants to work with kray, including xfrog plants.
1. dont use clip maps use transparency channel ONLY
2. dont use "alpha" for layer blending mode(I think kray doesnt support this yet)
3. remove spec channel textures and make spec and gloss 0%.
there are other things but thats all I remember ATM.
see if any of those help.

NiGMa, thank you very much for your prompt reply

but I still don't have any luck on it
I can make the bowl and rock to show up if I change the blending mode to normal (multiply by default) but not the leaves. But I will keep trying and see what really cause this problem. Thank you again for your tips

Could you post your scene? Maybe there's a bug or just a setup issue. Either way a scene would help.

Jure, thank you for your reply.
There's no scene actually, I just load the plant object and create a point light in front of it but kray just cannot render it.
Not all xfrog plants I own have this issue though.
I believe that the answer/solution to this problem will be very simple but since I am new to kray and lightwave so I guess I need some time to figure it out

I dont think point lights are supported in kray.
for testing use "Photons Estimate" its very fast for plants.
If I were you, I would try start with basic surface settings and just gradually add transparency textures layers etc doing test renders at each step.
I just thought of something, it looks like your scene is not getting any light at all, so maybe it is todo with the point light, try spots, areas, or linear.

Did you turn on all Raytrace flags (shadow, reflection, transparancy...)

Hi Jure and NiGMA , I guess my problem was solved !
I replace the point light with Area light and change all the subtractive blending mode to Normal and it can be seen by kray now. The multiply mode actually works in kray so my previous post is kind of wrong.
I am glad to find the solution eventually but the downside is that I have to change every single surface manually for every leaf ..
Will the subtractive blending mode be supported in final kray 1.7 ?
Thank you guys again for your great help and kray rocks

I render this test without the alpha channel. I used transparence channel to make this test works in kray. The test is without aa.
