G. works still with LW2018. Problem is they released new SDK and this needs time to make new plugin exporter for K3 core. Also new SDK has new functions in LW2018 (for example new shader system) and this need also prepare K3 to understand commands from LW. This situation is standard has nothing to do with LW or Kray. Is just matter to recreate special compiler for K3 Core which export it to LW K3 plugin.
All software needs SDK which allow to understand software between each others (commands).
Meanwhile G. work with K3 shader own system because this only one way to "populate' K3 in other software. Standard now is to have own shader system, real time tone map, real time post process.
No worry, we work on this. He is also busy with PRO100 and Podium Render in Google Sketchup - but whatever he does there also he does for us in Lightwave (same Core).

How far from completion for kray3? is there any beta one could test. im on the bridge to want an extra renderer for my lw2018.

I should receive K3 for LW2018 with days.
There will package (I suspect) with 3 version: old LW, LW2015 and LW2018.
I thinkK3 for LW2018 version will be beta because there is a lot changes in new LW SDK.

not sure if Im going with octane or Kray. Using a Threadripper 1950x, so I would like kray for that reason. But speed and quality for big print files is the most important
