nice blurred reflections! Good lighting, the couches look like artworks, I would not dare to sit on them, let alone let my kids on it with cookies ;)

very nice as usual, probably i dont like so much the floor, too "purple-ish".

Anyway, am i the only one to see a strong banding on the whole pic ? Probably it's my damn monitor, but it's definitely there... i'm asking because once i posted this as bug and some couldn see it.

Nice work.

Although, do I see some banding on the walls? Also the color of the stems of the flower looks artificial.

I see the banding on my Eizo CRT, so it's there. Johny, did you postprocess in 24 bit?
The vray render looks like quasi monte carlo. Maybe you can try a QMC render in kray too?

Yes postprocess used :)
I will render QMC.

This render have levels from PS and add noise from PS.
Flowers, books, wall I will fix.
Time render 40 min.

I find textures from max.

No postprocess - only render from Kray.

.... and QMC (postproces NeatImage+PS) 2h time render.

Nice johny! The QMC has slightly better shadows than the previous one. Time difference is noticable though.

This just shows how powerfull QMC (photon mapping + cache irradiance:OFF) is. No need to spend time tweaking settings since it produces nice shadows straight away.

very nice - has almost a 'photographic' look ;)

any settings details for this QMC rendering? what should a 'kray beginner' care of? just switch irradiance cache off and for the rest same settings as with it?

Yes.. basicly when you turn OFF irradiance caching Kray will only use FG rays threshold/min/max values. All other will have no effect.

This is because Kray will sample every pixel in the scene (it will not do irradiance caching).

Use only:
- FG 1000/0
- cache OFF
- AA Grid 10 Rotate Pixel Filter: Spline
Edge 0.5 0.5
Normal,Z 0.002 0.002
Upsaple, Thick, Overbur=1
Tiler command: gradients_flags 1;
