Animation - Time Interpolation question ?

Hey there gang,

After doing a few test in shared mode I'm now running a few test with things moving around and am wondering if anyone can shed some light as to the settings :) (not found any related threads on the forums)

For frames is it the total number of frames in the animation or does this refer to something else ?

Extinction % - I assume lower is better in this case ?

Apart from the precached map and irradiance cache toggles is there anything else I should be weary of ?

Thanks guys.

I haven't tested those settings yet *shame on me*. But here's what silver has told me:
Frames means how many frames around current one KRay should take into account when computing GI for current frame. When you use timeinterpolation and 2 frames it will interpolate all splotches during a 2 frame region causing the light solution to be very stable. Try on a simple ball on a plane anim first to see the effects. 1 frame should be enough for most anims. If light changes slowly you can get away with more, maybe like 3 frames. If there are rapid changes of light like that girl walk into the room anim in gallery - there 1 frame was used.

Extinction I have no idea what it means but i think it's best left at default. Will ask G. about it and report.
