It's QMC or Path Tracing? Too noisy in my opinion, that I might judge the quality of the materials. But I like the whale! )

Try this one:
+ tone map:

- ScreenShot205.png (15.45 KiB) Viewed 76127 times

- ScreenShot204.png (21.94 KiB) Viewed 76127 times
For Hi Res render is really enough 500-800 rays in QMC + AA of course.
For preview render you can shoot fast with 100 Rays.
Here I marked what is working in QMC mode (rest of options are not activated because they are for interpolation settings):
It is very simple:
- For interiors resolution GI around 300 mm
- more Min Rays = less noise = longer time
- Path Passes 1/50 means one extra bounce light from Path Tracing photons with 50 % maximum distance for corners. This tool gives accuracy for Photon Map in corners and of course you must use this. It is slower render but no surprises in corners.

I think is just better change scene. Something nice and modern. I would like you give something from my scenes but there are commercial objects/textures. I will try found something nice - good for training.

Sorry to scratch your eyes, i did not precise that i wasn't looking for design in this render... i was reproducing my own living room like it is (old 70's house with the style that goes with it... not sexy yet, but for the moment it is not my priority/budget

).
I agree, a more modern/design room would be more pleasant for the eyes...
I'll go for that in my next try.
