Hello,

Would it be advisable to use a Bucket render (virtual render) for resolutions approximately 6000x3000?
As apposed to maxing out the RAM.

Would i get faster render times and less memory issues?

What about the mentioned issues with instances??

Any experience with Virtual Render under Lightwave 2015.2 ?

for that resolution you do not need any 3th part software. RAM is very cheap now, good i7 CPU also. If really you have very small amount of RAM then switch in Kray to low memory management Octree Detail: LOW or in extreme situation - Very Low:

Render will be of course slower but sometimes this is only one solution.

btw
If you want buy in future more RAM or new hardware the minimum amount is 32 Giga. This cover all situations - even huge projects.

What's your setup?

I render 10000 x 5000 images on an i7 with 16 GB of ram, Windows 10. Runs very smoothly without any crashes.
