Only two states (day/night) because targets are furniture`s with lighting inside.

Maybe this is not top design (very basic in photo references) but for producer important are only cabinets with lights.

Extremely outstanding work as usual Janusz! I hope that one day I'll be as good as you, but I doubt it very much! :)

Hi,

I'm thinking about creating virtual walks for VR headsets. Does anyone experience in creating stereo 3d walks?
I know with Ubercam 2 http://www.liberty3d.com/store/tools/li ... s/ubercam/ we could easily create stereo panorama images based on our existing scenes with no problem. (Yesterday I asked them by mail about compatibility with kary. They downloaded the demo ans said it works seamlessly)
But how to build a complete walk compatible with for example Galaxy VR + S6/7 phone?

I think we have to split two different things:
- full interactive 3D
- pseudo 3D based on pre-rendered images

If we talk about second situation then I do not see any problem with compatibility.
What we need is only stereo render image. In Kray you have special camera for that.
with standard output stereo image:

but this is all what I know theoretically.
I think UberCam needs special image format input (single separate eye image?) but for that I think in the web are a lot software which transform single stereo image to single separate eye image.

Hi all,

Good questions. I'm looking into this as well and have ordered a gearVR, Samsung Galaxy S7 and 360 camera to try some stuff out. To be honest, I am expecting the most issues with trying to generate a stereo spherical image.

To clarify: I would like to be able to look around a spherical still image with a GearVR headset, but with a different image being fed to the left and the right eye. I'm not even getting into wether the device can support this, but I don't think that for the moment you can output what I'm talking about with LW and Kray. Maybe the advanced camera can do this, but I don't understand a single thing about that part of LW. Time Sweep??? What's that? :D

For now it is possible only do it by two cameras parenting to Null and setup in Kray with panorama camera. You must render animation left and right camera separately of course.

...at least BAKE GI will be the same for both
I do not see any problem with this at all.

Hi Janusz,

With Panoramic you mean spherical, right? This won't work because the camera positions will be "fixed" during the sort of rotation of the camera looking around. As a consequence at a 0 degrees angle of the camera this will work, at 90 degrees angle both "eyes" will be one in front of the other, at 180 degrees angle left and right eye will be switched and at 270 the other eye will be in front of eye one...

Apparently BAKE GI in panorama doesn`t work. I am not sure is this bug or is just not added feature in Kray.

Try this one.
ground.lwo
(16.38 KiB) Downloaded 164 times
stereo.lws
(29.58 KiB) Downloaded 160 times
But with Path Tracing is ok.
Camera preview is master camera and helps to see scene.
