Hi all, at the moment I'm making a version of kraywell to test
the demo version of kraytracing 1.612.
I want to know if I used kray correctly in this scene, because in the
kraywell pictures in the web, gi is different than my gi configuration.
Here is the web kraywell picture and my test.

ohh... old memories

This was a long time ago since i played with that room and i dont even have the scene data left i think. If i recall it correctly i used white backdrop colour and a distant light, nothing else since i like to keep it simple. How have you set it up? looks to me like you have extralights inside or in the windows.

Helo!
New here.
I noticed that bunch of pictures done here have hotspots on the walls from the sunlight.
Sorry for saying but that looks very ugly and far from looking realistic!
How do you control your sun options if you have any?

Here is my scene, with the setup. Now, you can see how is my configuration of the lights, backdrop and kray and you can tell me what things ins't good in this scene.

You can control that in several ways in 1.7. The easiest is probably Exponential tone mapping which prevents very bright areas to get burned out.

Jure do you have classic sun controls like height from the horizont, angle...or maybe thats not the way to do it...

You may use the tools provided in lightwave to set longitude/latitude etc and since it's normal lights Kray will use it.

Jure sorry for saying but even your final picture has a strong hotspots on the wall wich are realy eye stiching...
Can they be avoided in Kray or not?

Sure they can... I didn't use exponential tone mapping though...

Okay I rendered out my tutorial scene with HSV exponential tone mapping...
You like it better?

As I said... In kray 1.7 you have ability to choose different tone mapping instead of just gamma. You can choose Linear, Gamma or Exponantial tone mapping.
