why kray1.612 not support 2core cpu?

I use INTEL E6400 cpu,I detect my cpu use kray render pic only can use 50%..........can 1.7 to support 2core cpu?
Nope 1.612 was not multithreaded. 1.7 will be.
Only way to use 1.612 for dual cpu's is to start two different renders on the same machine.
