Background image support

Possible in kray 2.4? :mrgreen:
So we can hide hdr lighting with a black image and get clean alpha.

Definitely not in 2.4 since it was released already :).

We have it on to do list, but i don't think it's gonna make it in before 3.0. I think you can work around this problem with black poly or something like that.

I did tried that. I used a huge black poly behind all objects that faces camera all the time. Its workable except it was affecting the lighting and reflections on objects.
Is there a command I'm missing that could possibly make the black poly work like a bgimage composite? :)

I think You should play with Refine Edge in Photoshop. This is POWERFUL tool.

Set it to unseen by rays and gi but make it seen by camera and turn off cast/receive shadows + alpha constant black. That should work fine.

I use an inverted black sphere that surrounds the whole scene with the above recomended setup and works fine.
