Kray for other 3D packages?

Personally owning also Maya and more recently modo, while also not being real happy with the way NT is doing with LW, I'm just curious if there are other Kray users who would also like to see Kray on other platforms and if so which one(s).
For me, it would be either modo or Maya.

There's already kray for sketchup (albeit simplified version) and it's called SU Podium.

Just stick to Lightwave and make it beautifull!

maya and max. I would have voted c4d if there were 3 choices. I wouldn't put all efforts on lw for financial reasons. I suspect few would be upgrading to lw 11.

I would have said Blender, but I know that a non-free renderer would be hard to sell to Blender users who are attached to the open source distribution system.
Otherwise, Modo seems to be the best and more logical option.

i voted modo, but i guess it will be difficult to implement because of the nature of modo's material system.
i'm still a strong supporter of the formz modeling package, and even if there's maxwell and upcoming vray for version 7, i'd LOVE to see kray for formz.
cheers

I want kray dev to get more money for development. So top three max, maya, c4d. Im sure lwcad will do well in max and get mote money.

If kray dev can see this the race is on for the next 3dmax(money maker) renderer to be a hit.

This GPU rendering thing sound nice, but once you start counting money vs. rendering time needed even with GPU, its a joke.
You can read at Octane forum that avarage rendering time with 4 x GTX580 is around 12 hours.
Give me a break!

This is my personal opinion:
1. Forget about real time render in next 5-10 years...
2. The most of VR engine renders has no AA...
3. You see speed only with basic scenes (most of them are HDRi + small object)
4. Forget about it if You think about complex scenes (interiors, exteriors)
5. path tracing is Path Tracing no magic with this, does not exist personal computer with acceptable price which can calculate billions data per second (Path Tracing is method with NO INTERPOLATION!)
6. Because G. is very talented, maybe in future he will be THE FIRST who will write Real Time Engine Render based on Photon Mapping... but for that I have doubts because this will be incredible difficult to do.

My point was we need kray to go mainstream, 3dmax is where the cashflow is.
Octane, like vray will make huge development in the coming months with their move.
They already have expanded from the original two developers. Now I think they're more than 5 people.
Kray can't only stay in lw, its too limiting.

100% Agreed. It doesn't matter how talented G. is, if there isn't enough cash flow, there isn't Kray.
