ray recursion limit problem

in a scene i doubled the limit from 6 to 12 ( because some glasse behind glasse looked dark) but render time went fro 5 h to days...
is 12 recusrsion limit to high? if yes how can i solve the problem with glass behind glass?

Personally use recurse 10-15. If scene has huge amount of glass is normal to take long time of render.
Recurse 6 is too small, so you will receive sometimes black areas in glass (depends from scene)
Only Dielectric Node can dramatically reduce time render...but still this Node has some bugs and Kray not correctly render it.
