I downloaded demo of 2.2 couple days ago, and I'm still playing to see if it fits my needs and trying to compare 2.2 to original LW has been troublesome for me. I can't turn off Kray at all, even f9 envokes rendering in Kray. Only way to disable it was to uninstall Kray and then LW's built in render becomes accessible again.

Is there any other way to disable/enable Kray temporary?

Try un-checking Kray from the "Master Plugins" or "Render Globals" then hit the tab "Render" at the bottom there is an option to change the renderer, change back to normal - try that.

You can pick the default render engine in the render globals.
