Carpets

Btw
In next version of Instance we will receive better tool for that models. Density by textures, size by textures, variation by textures, etc

This is good example, scene is easy... but with our instance 1.0 fur will be difficult.

Pretty cool, although does look more like unkempt grass than carpet, love to know more about how you're doing these, instancing onviously, but setup etc.

it´s looks like grass because...it is grass with colour texture changed. Everything i use for this came from this forum. I use one tutorial for instancing and grass that i see here, i dont know exactly were. I have to try now with another shapes of hair and see what happens. I will check pictures of real carpets and try to make the carpets looks similar.

Will post results.

Hey guys,

Thick carpet with real fibers attached in this post, strings of about 3mm. UV's just need a texture image of choice. (transparecy is for the ends of the fiber)

1st layer are instances, 2nd are the fibers. If it renders to long, just put subdivisions lower.
