Grzegorz: edge absolute is a difference between pixels. if it is higher that than value both pixels are on the edge

Grzegorz: relative
Grzegorz: is a relation between pixels a/b
Grzegorz: where a is pixel1 brightbess b pixel2 brightness
Grzegorz: where absolute often misses edges in dark areas (not big brigthess difference) relative does not

Grzegorz: normal and z is normal and distance to camera edge detection
Grzegorz: so even if you have black square on black background
Grzegorz: it will be marked as edge if z is not zero
Grzegorz: what is nice is that z and normal can be detected to upsampled image
Grzegorz: i mean if you have 640x400 rendering and some details are sub pixel size thay can be skipped in edge detection. you can detect normal and z edges on twice as large image and dont miss those details this is what upsample is for

Grzegorz: thickness is a egde thickness in pixels
Grzegorz: you can also antialias pixels close to the edge

Grzegorz: overburn is to not detect edge on overburn areas

Playing with AA settings a bit and this setting produced quite nice rendering in reasonable time....

Please post your experience.

Wow they seem to work very well! I want them in the onlinemanual NOW!
I switched to Grid2 or 3 instead of stochastic.

Another nice settings that seem to work in some scenes...

"Relative" value makes me nut's.
Value 1.0 = 0 or no effekt at all.
Possitive affects something and negative effects something.
I would really like to have all this about AA explained in the online manual.

relative >1 will mark all pixels for AA. relative <1 is what you should use G. told me...

I'm not sure... You should be able to see attachments without a problem.

It's because either you're not registered user, or you're not logged in, I had same problem at first before I understood it :)

That will be because it's a screen shot from OB1 or OB2
