frosted glass...

does anyone know how to create a fast and real frosted glass surface?

this is the image.. and this are my settings.. I don't know 20 minutes!.. is too much..
is very slow specially during antialiasing..

the lighting is made from luminous polys and ph-sky

Well frosted glass is one of the more difficult surfaces to raytrace therefore it always needs more time than other surfaces. However to speed things up make sure only one side of your glass has refraction blur applied and do not use too high blur values. You can also use Kray surface options shader to control refraction blur rays only for this surface.

The other way is to do it in post like in this tutorial http://www.grafica3dblog.it/photoshop_t ... _glass.htm
