I know kray is a powerfull render software but will lightwave core be better than the current kray 2.0 or will you all see how lightwave core render does and will you all make a new kray to stay ahead of core?

Before core can render it needs to complete its basic program first which is modelling. After that we can compare. The only thing that core has over kray is realtime rendering VPR. The pdf from core explains what is avail, what is proposed to be avail and from that what won't be available at launch.

I agree; Core will be a revolution, but rest assured your investment on Kray will keep it's value for a long time.
I guess NT did most work on render engine before 9.6, coders now will concentrate on structure, modeling and animation for a while.
Even when they'll touch rendering again, i doubt they'll go as far as Kray goes since LW's engine must remain an all-purpose engine, and thus it will be alway less powerful and less manageable than kray.
