Cache or not cache!

I´ve noticed that when I change the scene information the rendering with KRAY doesn´t follow these changes. I have to shut down Lightwave and re-open it to make these changes active. What is going on?
I also noticed that some instances I make directly in Lightwave isn´t registered and rendered when using KRAY. They aren´t just there... well if I shut down Lightwave and open it again it works but not otherwise. This happends from time to time without any logical reasons and sometimes it works ok but not always. Confused? You bet!

You realy need to go through the user manual

It will save you a lot of this type of problems on the long run. Check also
Troubleshooting and FAQ for common problems.

This is probably this problem described here:
http://www.kraytracing.com/wiki/Trouble ... AQ#General
LW9.6: Pressing F9 or F10 will not use most recent Kray settings. You must save scene first or map F9/F10 keys to KrayFrame/KrayAnim commands or use render buttons inside Kray options window.

You know I am new to Kray so when you address me to the "user manual" of Kray it leads to more questions just because the "user manual" confuses while the indexes of it don´t secure any logical search functions.
Here´s an example: Let´s say I am looking for an easy explanation of how to make "instances" in Kray! Where is the logical search tag for this? I have been searching in this manual with less luck than a "one eyed cat in a seafood store"!
The truth is that I am no fan at all of old these fashioned manuals but in this case it´s more than just that. I don´t see any logical connections between the different sublevelled parts in Kray in this manual! It would be a minor problem as long as I can keep on asking you or anyone else at the forum with more knowledge than myself without getting the word "Annoying" tattooed in my forehead!

It eludes me how this can be so difficult for you. When I enter "Instancing" into the Wiki search I immediately get useful information:

I think if you are having so much problems with learning Kray it may not be the right for you after all. If you want I can talk to G. and maybe we can get you refund.

It surprises me that you send me a link to what I already mentioned that I´ve found and didn´t want. My question was more like: I wonder if there were any other tutorials of "instancing" that doesn´t include millions of penguins that take hours to render!
"Since Im not a fan of old fashioned white paper tutorials I wonder if there´s any better tutorial for easy ways to make instances in Kray! The only one I can find is the one with millions of penguines that took a lifetime to render. I just need some basic information of the best and most uncomplicated way to create instances of trees or leafes or pieces of grass. Sometimes I wonder why the easiest way to explain things consider to be the hardest!"

Why no try to test without million of pinguins. Take the concept and make your own test.
On the wiki you have the basic info about all and some tutorials
On the forum have a lot of info about people asking with her problem same that you and so much questions resolved fast for forum people.
On public chat all people are open to help you too
I think if you dont learn this is because you dont like to learn. I learn this and iam very gratefull with all people here helping me for free (jure, erwin, matt, etc...)

Thanks for your excellent advices! By the way, who is her?

I am also grateful for all help I could get but that hasn´t got anything to do with the subject. I am aware that there are many differents ways of learning without saying that everyone has to adapt to these faster, newer and fresher ways!
About 10 years ago there appeared a new and very dramatic change in learning by virtually practical examples. This new event decreased any steep angle of traditional learning curves. If you missed this occasion it´s mentioned as filmed tutorials on internet and God damn, when they´re good they´re really good! In my opinion they trash all traditional white paper insomnia methods. Well of course not for people that enjoy reading white papers and God knows that I am not one of those.
But let´s forget all talk of willingness or not in learning... it´s a totally different discussion!
Have a nice day!
