Good news everyone!
The most easiest and affordable render farm around
REBUSFARM now officialy supports
Kray!
Render farm facts:
- Comp. Power: 3700 GHz
- Cinebench: 4 Mio.
- 140 Intel XEON E5530
- 140 Intel XEON E5420
- 96 Intel Q6600
- 64bit OS each 16 GB RAM
The automated Lightwave plugin
FARMINIZER will automatically check your scene for problems and will warn you before you submit your scene to farm.
Here are quick guidelines you should follow before submitting your scene on the farm:
- check for 3rd party plugins and include them with your scene
- make sure all your objects and images can be found
- make sure you prerender shared GI file and LOAD is selected for Shared For All Frames GI mode.
- use Lightwave Image saver for output and disable Kray
You can find more
detailed guidelines on how to prepare the scene for render farm rendering on our Wiki pages.

Just tried kray and rebus. Really convenient and easy to use. I've tried twice after successfully uploading to their server. I rendered and the farmmanager is rendering with some machines and my free 10 euro is being deducted. But after a few minutes the machines stop rendering and my 10 euro is reset and no frames rendered. Wierd. How big of a scene is the limit? I'm testing a big scene to see how reliable the rebusfarm is.

You probably ran out of credits. You must enable negative renderpoints to allow rendering in "debt". But you won't be able to download frames untill you pay off the amount of render points used or something. In any case just contact the Rebusfarm guys over ICQ, they are very helpful.

I guys, I had a chance with a recent project (short deadline) to use Rebus, and with some help from Erwin, I have to say it's solid! It renders extremely fast, great price, and upload/download is very fast (and I'm in the USA). I'll see about maybe doing a little video tut. to help get past some initial hiccups sense he currently doesn't have anything for LW like that yet.

hi i am Andre - Admin at Rebus
your job produced an error and fail to render - if it happen we not charge and not continue render so your job is active but idle
if you are the one I remember, your scene had tons of missing plugins
testing the scene about plugins is currently not included to the Farminizer and a feature we need to implement
it is the currently most reason a job not render
finaly I have the tutorial video online
http://www.rebusfarm.de/Video_Tutorials ... htwave.wmv
http://www.rebusfarm.de/Video_Tutorials ... htwave.mov
we release that week an new version with tons of bug fixes for LW and others

I'm looking to use Rebus again (I was very happy with the services for another project), but for this new scene I noticed when I did the Smartcheck in one of the 'Render Settings' warning it says, "Output: Save Alpha is deactivated"
How do I get the .png renders produced using Rebus with the alpha?

That makes sense. But the problem was that I was trying to get the .png with the alpha in the same image as the render (i.e. transparent background). I'll try what you mentioned.

I got it over to Rebus, but I got an error .txt sent to me. It says, "application error on render out of RAM ? andre". What happened? It's not a huge scene and rendered just fine on my quad-core with six gigs of ram. Do I just need to redo it?
