First posting... :) Slow render :(

Ok, I just got Kray installed.
I was hoping to see a huge incease in the speed of my renders but the Kray renders are taking forever (still haven't finished a single frame).
Clearly I need to optimize my scene somehow, but I'm so new that I'm not sure what kind of info you guys would need to see.
Is there a quick list of what info I can supply for your perusal?
The animation is of a machine (a pretty high poly mesh). I can get really decent renders out of LW's G.I. but they take about 20 minutes per frame (and I've got 1000's to render).
I've set up my scene based on a tutorial I watched.
My settings I adjusted are:
Photon mapping, preset low
Pixel order: Progressive
Luminosity model: Automatic
I'm using RC4
Thanks
Doug

Can you share your scene to check or attach some shot to see ilumination and render config of LW?

The render speed will depend on AA, FG and quality (blurring rays, lumi/area light rays) parameters you have set. High min/max rays will cause longer rendering time. While low will make renders faster obviously. It's really hard to say what is slowing the render down without seeing the scene and parameters but on a Q6600 this should render in about 5 minutes with good quality i think.

You need to change GI mode to Time interpolation for animation 5 frames nice for me.
And you can show Ligth configuration, ambient need to be 0?
Off preview photons too

Hmm yor settings look realy low. maybe its something with materials and/or lights that is throwing off the computation. I suggrest you try this: open master plugins and find
kray override plugin. In plugin settings choose
enable override,
use color and
pure diffuse. If this renders much faster than its some surface setting slowing it down.
Also add logfile 'kraylog.txt'; into the header commands list on the General tab of the Kray GUI. This will create logfile. Upload it back here so I can check it.

This must be Lightwave problem because this DLL is not used by Kray.
