I was just wondering, im starting on job that i need to do a exteriror night shots with a bunch of IES lights in place... did anyone do such things in kray, any problems? Or am i better of using something else?

i've done some.... It works but you must find good IES files. It may be slow though if there are many lights.

I anticipate about 20 fixtures in the shots, does that qualify as many? What does it mean slow, i got two octocores itching for some action here
I tought IES files are quite simple, what do you mean by good ies files?

that shouldn't be too hard to render then. I was thinking more like 100+ lights...

IES files can be quite complex. I found out that some don't render well (some hand made ones - they don't cast soft shadows)...
