what type of flooring is this?
seemed a bit wierd to me, is wood, parquette, linoleum, paint?

less gloss on the floor, but if it's a special type of flooring it's ok...

Good composition, it would be nice do have the materials have a layer of lacquer (clear varnish) on the furniture, just a combination of some blured reflections and some clear one. Also the floor seems a bit too reflective, like roger said. Maybe some more iperfections to the wall, especially that gray upper left beam there... it looks really flat. Just my 2c if you feel like playing a bit more with it :)

Nice but not enough light/contrast in colors... Also add IES to the lamp.

Looking at the reference, i see how much two details add to the scene:
- the direct sun light on the left, making that diagonal on the wall behind.
- the reflection of the lamp on the floor

Is the missing reflection of the lamp light against the wall a bug or does one have do conjure some extra lw-kungfu to achieve it? (i am asking this generally, didnt notice it so far)

Nice work nico. I really like the floor surface. That picture in the background looks familiar. ;)
