Hi everyone -
Here is a little scene for my soon-to-be demo reel that I just finished rendering.
Averaging 15minutes per frame on a q6600 quad core machine (just 3 nodes rendering)
Still have 7 or 8 more scenes for the reel, I hope to post the whole deal soon (all rendered in Kray)
Thanks !

Very solid render bro. I really like it. The only comment I would have is the compression isn't the best. I know it's always a balancing act (i.e. quality & file size) but if this is going on a reel and the reel is what is going to show off your work, you want it to shine. It just looked a bit blurry in certain sections. That aside, nice work.

Nice work Dude! I like shots "by hand", it would throw more reality in it, but still it's a very good animation...

So how did' You do the fire, are these animated sprites ??

hi guys..
thanks ! as far as the compression, yes that was just so I can attach it here (2mb) it looks better here :

The fire is a little crazy yes

I thought by looking at my real fireplace that the motion wasnt that far off, I dont know.. I download a fireplace video from youtube, then cloned it in after effects, and used frame blending to interpolate some frames and the then mapped it onto a plance.
Thanks for the comments !

Here is another scene of the same space.
The MPEG4 compression blew out the whites though, the original is not that blown out, anyway, will try and finish all the scenes and post the final demo reel.

Hey thanks for sharing, pretty neat renders! I like the moody feeling of the light you've created, it does not always have to be fully bright lit interiors, I like your style here.
Animated sequences in animation, like the tv are always the highlights that create the mood, though you have to see the animation for many times just to see all there's going on
