Do I have to adjust the tone map settings under 'General', too, when I use the Kray quick linear workflow plugin or does it override the settings? Thanks.

The tonemap setting in Kray GUI (general tab) should be set accordingly to your output media... For PC monitors this is usualy gamma 2.2... But if you was to output to something else then you would set this differently...

Thanks jure. But to understand it better, what do you recommend? Would you enter the same parameter and exposure under 'General' as in the Kray quick linear workflow plugin?

I work on PC and my output is renders for print and web.

Therefore I use Kray quick LWF plugin with the following settings:
tonemap: gamma
parameter: 2.2
exposure: 1.0
affect... ALL ON

in Kray FUI General tab iset:
tonemap: gamma
parameter: 2.2
exposure: as needed per scene (>1 to make it brighter, <1 to make it darker)

That should get you started.
If you want to get more in depth knowledge I recommend you to read tutorial on color management on Kray WIKI. Remember that input and output tonemap setting can be completely different too. But unless you know what you are doing it's best to leave them at gamma 2.2.

Hi guys,

Im starting to play with the LWF here.

So with this plugin we do not need to tweak each texture maps' gamma individually, correct? (in that case this saves a LOT of time)

Still my images are coming out very dark, but still learning here !

Thanks !

correct. krayLWF changes gamma of colors, maps and/or backdrop for you.
When your scenes look dark, use more light ;) But also use the KrayPhotonMultiplier shader on your light source to a. balance photons from light sources (in Photonmap mode, for in Lightmap mode photons are shot from camera only) b. give the photons more power to have more bounce light without blowing out the direct colors ( which happens if setting lights higher)
