Has anyone tried this plug-in yet? It's suppose to work with Kray's instancing.
EDIT: just watching the video...looks way slick!

I have tested it a bit and it worked. Recently I haven't tried it but it's great tool for placing instances quickly...

Yeah, almost becomes an super interface for Kray instancing! $120+ isn't too bad considering how easy it made it look to generate lots and lots of vegetation, vehicles, etc. I've downloaded the demo and going to give it a try.

good thread !
I bought it and it works perfectly, I have not used it on a real project yet, but some tests came out just fine.
Thanks Johan for developing for Kray !

got it as well - and it was no april joke
its a *great* tool, i like it very much! the interface is simple but well thought, and placing instances is fun - it's like gaming in your own scene! doing the same tasks in native LW gives much less precise results - having a direct visual feedback of placed instances is the key!
i've tested veggiepaint on my most complex skyscraper scene (8 million polys, hundreds of objects) and there was was just a very slight slowdown when placing clones with my mainstream video card (nvidia 8800GT), working even with this extreme model was a pleasure. PIM as preview engine really shines here.
the only thing missing for me is a simple online help as keystrokes reminder (you won't use that tool everyday) and a 'fit all' viewport command. ...ah, and - just to repeat things endlessly - a mac version of course (but i know, PIM is win only...)!
cheers
