exterior is not at all as good as your interior

Yes maybe I used bad light (from Texture Envi.) Now is from Lumi sphere.
Grass is displacement. This scene is ... strange. I will back with another.
40 min.

Hehe, you see Johny that skydome is the way to go

I love the light on the last one, excellent... Even though the scene is what it is, not very good example of exterior stuff...

Personallly I think the first one is more correct. The second one has a cloudy look but the shadows are still a bit sharp. And 40 mins is long for quad core, too. It must be the dome lighting making too many calculations like my car render. Btw johny haven't gotten that mail yet.
i didn't know kray had micropoly displacements. hmm...

Achh...sorry for my mistake
I used setup from interior quality with very good contact shadow under small obiects.........Spatial 0.3..... Yes this is exterior we don`t need ideal shadows under small obiects....I will back.....

Very nice Johny. I'm still not blown away with what I've scene with exteriors on Kray. Still not on par with the interior work shown by you and many others on the boards, but still a very nice render non the less.
This isn't a knock on the render, it looks solid, I just think some of you guys here have set the bar so high on the interior renders that Kray can do, it's going to take a bit more work on the exterior quality to catch up. Thanks for sharing with us, and keep them coming.
P.s. did I read that right, HDinstance tree? So HDinstance is working in the IB?

The exterior still has some to be desired compared to his interiors, but to say they are "very bad", is ridiculous.

One of the main problems is the amount of detail in the model. This is far too simple to make a realistic render. Things like path edgings, edges to the roof finishes, window frames are all missing and this is really noticeable. Also the textures aren't good choices.
However, this is work in progress, and the quality of light is great. The model is a really poor choice for a truly photorealistic image though. We ought to find a really good exterior to let Johny loose on. Something that is worthy of his talent

yes this is strange scene, grass is bad, light too... but this is no problem from Kray. problem is with bad setup sunsky and sun.
This is free scene from

btw: instant in Kray works great.

I think that this work isn't finish yet, The lighting is great and the models. Many peoples think that make and exterior is too easy and make and interior too difficult. Exteriors have his problems, and interiors too. I think that to make a photorealistic exterior is more difficult to an interior for many things.
Jhony, I only recommend that you have to revise the displacement grass, and the sky, perhaps a simple skylight background without clouds make a real result. I think that these clouds and grass tell that this image is a CG.
But, I tell to other users that this work isn't finish and Mario, How can you told that this work is bad ????

Maybe the renders are not the best Johny produced,,,,but come on guys. These are still great images.
