Very realistic, maxwell style! Maybe little too heavy noise in PS...

Hi Johny, really good, as usual. Did you use any occlusion ? I don't know how I can get this contact shadows.

Use about 1 million received photons/Nvalue 200 and set finalgather max distancevalue lower until you get nice contactshadows.Try maxdistance 200-50 The denser the finalgather rays are shoot the more detailed shadows you get.

No fake trick... :)
Just try oversample (2-3 passes) and 20/500 min/max + good setup....

Here is my scene and my settings, the contact shadows are better but the Johny test is better yet. What can I do ?

Ana,

I think the contact shadows look almost the same, if you play with the gamma settings to get more contrast it should look like Johny's (I think)

they're very very close

I think Johny used photonmap, did you use lightmap? Also I think you have Blur in FG tab higher than Johny.
Plus he may have used skyportals? That still has to be released in next open beta.

Very fast prev.
I fink prev. becouse : AA is medium, lost some shadows from small obiects.
But for me very speed render!
