My last test render.
I tested some idea and oversample tool.
This renders have 30 bounce light and standart setup.. Time 30- 90 min.

What do you mean about oversample ? I'm new to the "Kray-World" and I wonder how you do these incredible images ??!!!

Oversample is standart metod for add some samples (V-ray use it too)
When You use normal render, Kray can`t add enough amount of samples (it is normally) .
In Tailer CMDS type: prerender 1,4,0.01;gradients_neighbour 0.01
prerender 1,2,0.01 - 2 is two pass, 0.01 sensitve
gradients_neighbour 0.01 - sensitve smooth samples (equivalent FG)

When use oversample You can use lower setup FG (min/max 400/800 or lower), lower FG is faster AA :) etc, etc.

Btw: G. promised increse speed and better detection "oversample".

In this test render time: normal 2:45 min, oversample 4:50 min., uncache: 9 min.
Of course this test have global setup, for closeup You need better spatial tolerance.....

Rest is good light and textures :)

Very nice...what were your photon settings? Could you post a Photon estimate/Precomputed render for our information? :)

I'm new to Kray also, I still don't understand what oversample is. You say lower FG is faster AA, but the time went up from 2:45 min to 4:50 min. I'm not following ya. :?:

I post the answer here too: Oversampling will be added to GUI as it also is in for example blender/yafray but they call it refinement. Read more at http://wiki.yafray.org/bin/view.pl/User ... ayLighting

More samples always take longer time to render.

Hey Johny_quick,

I forgot to ask something. What do you mean by "30 bounce light"? Is this the number of light bounces? If so, where do you adjust this setting?
