Hello,
is it useful to turn on cache irradiance when rendering a single image and not an animation?

Hi Sat -

I am not the GI expert around here, but yes, turning off cache irradiance will really slow down render times, but the GI will be more accurate, it would be a quasi monte carlo mode without the GI caching I believe

Again, they might correct me, but this is what I believe would happen, myself I use caching for stills and animations all the time.

Yes. There can be a huge speed increase by enabling irradiancecache but then you also need to tweak Finalgather rays sometimes. Try and see whats happends.
