Did you select File format PNG+alpha from kray general tab?

I didn't select the 'File Format PNG/TGA/TIFF + Alpha' on general tab because the button 'ON' (upper 'file format list') is off. Also if I'm not mistaken that some one was told me that if I want to use a native LW image saver turn it off. So, should I turn ON and choose the Fle Format for that?

Anyway I just tried to save used z-buffers in Kray but after done the rendering it can't read in AE & Photoshop.

Also I need some detail and what exactly function in Kray Buffers, if you don't mind. :)

Maybe render it in native lightwave in separate render pass.
If for stills then no need for rpf. Just fake it as people suggested.
Why wouldn't you do the same without RPF? AFAIK the advantage of RPF is only that it holds several buffers inside single file.
The camera from an rpf file can be used in AE to generate a camera layer in AE among other things.

Actually its better to use exr ....cough kray support... cough... exr .

Thanks Jnom for the links. Actually I've been used the RPF format before when I render in native LW but not in Kray. As Jure said, Kray doesn't support 'Image Processing' in native LW. I'm so sad. :(. Hehe.

I wish we could add Image processing support in Kray but unfortunately LW SDK does not allow it.

Jure, I've problem with Image Format File. Usually for animation I'll save it to TIFF but in Kray TIFF can't read but others are great.

Anyway I'm looking the tutorial how to make a DOF or Fog use Lenscare in AE with 2 images (RGB + z-buffer)
kray_render00600.jpg
RGB - JPEG (Original was TGA + Alpha)
kray_render00600_zbuf.jpg
Z-Buffer - JPEG

Render time - 6 minutes ++, HD 720p

Also I need to know the function what is the meaning for black & white area.

Really good render :)
Btw jpg as Z-buffer is quite not good idea (matrix compression destroy important blends in image)

Thanks Janusz.

Oh, Actually the original format was TARGA files (both). For this 1 I convert to JPEG so it won't be a huge file. :)
Usually I use a TIFF for the animation abut I've problem that I can't open it on AE & Photoshop.

Need some detail explanation about black + white (clip front & back + value front & back). :)

Use PNG output.. it's best...

I think for this camera (last render ) front and back clip should be different: around 500m/2000m....you don`t need effects fog near camera

If kray would support exr this would be much easier.
I did the fog and dof in this render with native lightwave. But main render is kray.

But not with lenscare. I have to check which plugin in AE when I get to work.
Btw depth pass is better 16bit float.

This is my setting for Buffer.
buffer.jpg
buffer.jpg (29.67 KiB) Viewed 17299 times
Anyway, how can I setup the DoF at front and behind the focus object? For example like that image, the nearest object (white block) and behind (tower) have a DoF. I'm still explore how to setup with clip and value.

You did the fog and dof in native render? So that's meant you render for 2,3 times?
