For that is special version of Kray (lw2018), G. works non stop with LW2018. He can run renders and new LW shader system + some Nodes and lights. But this is still WiP.

HI
I updated tracker lately ...if G. will fix them all it will be full K3.0.
I did not receive from him information yet...probably he is busy with helping porting K3 to other software.
I will post here info when he answer to me.
Meanwhile if you get something which is not on bug tracker pleas inform me.

Maybe we should do a sort of competition: find the earliest date K3 was promised, somewhere here on the forum!

Developing render engine software takes 2-4 years. Nothing to complain.

I have found 2011 http://www.kraytracing.com/phpBB3/viewt ... 3&start=15
The "soons" started around 2012 if I remember correctly.

To be fair in your 2013 "soon" response you did put a smile emoticon so I guess you were joking.
The problem is that many of us realized a bit late.

Okay okay, enough! I was only joking, and now I feel bad towards Janusz and Gregor... So let's no go any further on this topic.

As it happens, my position in our design studio is changing into more of a strategic "thinking" job, so I'm not sure if I will even be doing a lot of rendering with K3. But I still do hope that I will be able to move some of our younger 3D guys away from Cinema 4D and Octane, and towards LW + K3.

We start seriously (means bug tracker) almost two years ago. Before G. had problems with his child and also meanwhile, during developing with second child. So we can consider 1 year pure developing right now....this is pretty much ultra sonic....comparing forever developing LW native render engine this is hyper-sonic.

Here you can follow progress:
https://www.kraytracing.com/bugtracker/

G. fixed two major problems and if will be ok he will release RC6+ (we had small step back but now progress goes good)
