Bathroom 3d stereoscopic

Post by Adriano »

Hello

My new test with 3D stereo camera.I tested also tonemapping with:

- triple gamma
- triple exponential
- Ambient occlusion
- expo,gamma,gamma
- expo,expo LWF gamma , gamma
- power 1 - 50 (good result with 2x expo 2x gamma is between power 1~5).

Render on perspective camera is on 1280x and FSAA box 0.7 G4.
3D stereo camera: eye - 0.04 image no. 2
some postprocess in Kray and PS added.

I have an idea, because I wanted to do the DVD tutorial associated with modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering and I would like to know if such a thing passed that exam ?

Tutorial modeling interior: like kitchen or bathroom with:

-modeling furnitures with lightwave and lwcad
-modeling lamps with lightwave and lwcad
-displacment maps
-normal mapping
-create textures
-mapping with UV
-lights (IES,area,spot, etc)
-explain the functions of the kray, and preview image rendering and final
-some tutorial postprocess in Kray
-3d stereo camera
-DOF in Kray and DOF on Z-Buffer
-explain buffers in Kray
-instance in Kray (carpet modeling)
-All models,textures and scene included

Superb render and a grea idea about making tutorial! I think your tutorial idea is great. But think about spliting maybe into two parts or more so that you can release them more often because you will be covering a lot of stuff. Let me know if you need some help also...

Hi!

Very nice render! Just put some fresnel effect on some surfaces to make it even better: for instance, on the porcelain sink in front the side that is perpendicular to the camera and the side that is at a glancing angle have the same amount of reflection: normally the frontal side (perpendicular to the camera, the short side in this case) should have a lot less reflection than the other side.

This gives away that it is CG.

Cheers, keep up the work!

It's awesome. I've been looking for exactly this kind of process. As u mentioned in the discussion, you were using PS for compositing.
I have a job for an architectural animation and the client wants to do the animation in stereoscopic format. Do you have any idea, how can I render as 3d stereoscopic and composite it in AE ? I was trying render it but the output came out on 3 different pages. I'm not familiar with the stereoscopic process yet and this is my first project using stereoscopic for the architectural presentation. I hope, if you don't mind, you can give me some ideas or suggestion for this matter.

Thanks :)

Hi

As for rendering stereo 3D in Kray is an option that can render two or three or more images.
Unfortunately it is not possible (yet) to get the effect of rendering(stereo)directly from the camera LW in Kray.
Animation in LW from stereo is a great thing becouse you don't have to composite this in AF.

For now you have got two things in Kray to do this:

-very good result for static shots (camera mode'stereo')in Kray -tab general-
two image separated from each other( You must cut this in PS)

-second (better for animation) is two camera (left and right) 60-70 mm from each.
and make two layers in AF left and right animations.

I hope I could help

Hi Adriano

I have tried to render in stereoscopic using native LW. It's really easy to do but unfortunately the native stereoscopic LW doesn't support Kray render.

I'm still not clear with what you meant by '................is two camera (left & right) 60-70 mm from each?...........'. What I understand is that there are 2 duplicate cameras spaced about 60-70 mm from each other. Does that mean I need to render it twice? Why does the native LW camera settings has 3 cameras in stereoscopic? How about color and material in object model? How can I composite it in AE? Any plugins for that purpose?

Hello

yes two cameras in LW(you need render both) but there is some other things you can do:

-program ''Power DVD'' change in real time 2D in 3D movies.
