O nice time render!
Maybe too low AA, but nice time and textures!
Please send to my setup for red ball. :D

Really nice render time. Especially when you've seen this page... But you might want better AA. Why stochastic instead of grid? A 3x3 grid with limitdr 1; should be enough, and it would probably render even faster. You might want a few extra blurred reflection rays, though.

Thanx for the feedback guys. Yeah i was a bit surpriced myself since kray is single threaded :-) Yep will try grid3 + limidr; and increase blurrays and then post the scene here.

congrats, very cool final result, in case people are wondering why the lighting and reflections are different from the modo original, modo seems to use the probe image incorrect, look closely at the mirror ball and you understand. It's not only flipped but also smeared in some direction.
I was the nagging quality control for this image ;) to make it more similar to orginal than the first one was.

Fprime seem the most realistic render. you use HDRI right? in FPrime render we really can feel the HDRI lightning but in Kray and lightwave we cannot feel it. maybe that why fprime need more than 2 hour for have no noisy image. can you try a render on kray using HDRI, and post the render with render time please. the ball with soft reflection feel too much fake maybe you need to decrease the blur amount of this ball. thx

I would just like to point out that modo 202 renders that scene to a similar quality level in about fourteen minutes, but that's on a single 1.33GHz G4... My Core 2 Duo machine does it in about a minute and a half. That's a pretty nice render time, compared to Kray. ;) I'd say Grzegorz has his work cut out for him with 1.7.

oh hi captain! This thread and test is really old. Since then Kray have become somewhere between 20-30 times faster.

Even on a simple scene like this? Well, demonstrate it, would you! ;)
