Yes this is problem from medium setup quality.
Try it:
- FG 600/1600
- sensitivity 0.05
- Spatial 0.05
- corner distance I think is too big (sometimes I use also 200%) I think distance for Path Tracing photons should be smaller , around 50% - to reduce time render. Do not try turn OFF this function or make smaller distance - under 20% - in some situations will show up light leaks in corner which is normal. Also I use sometimes PATH - 3 , this means Path Tracing photons will bounce three times - it should bright up corners and make less visible "occlusion" effect.

That`s shows in your example how important are Skyportals

Yes, "old" Kray engine still is good. We start very soon connect Kray 3.0 to new interface and after that we will fix all problems with Photo Mapping especially with sampling and Skyportals. I know is taking long and long...many people loss patience or just give up... but important is: it is in progress continuously and also K3.0 will be completely new product (not just old software dressed in new cloths as happen everywhere ).
Anyway I will be always "last stand men" for Kray

kray 2.51 for me it's a very good software.we have see very hight quality render so with kray 3.0 we can hope only for a fast setup.

We start soon make first tests of k3.0 in ray-tracing mode. Photon Mapping will be connect after this phase (is important to stabilize engine before turn ON full functionality)

Yes, this is not ultra solution for quality but it works. Sampling is very old in Kray (but doesn't mean bad) ...still I find new possibilities to render faster and better.
