Cornell Box scene

Post by Janusz Biela »

Here my optimized scene for Luminescence lamp. If somebody wants to doanimation test then feel free :D
Time is a bit long but remember this is lumi poly. With Area light is much faster but when we will create more then one source of light - render will be faster with lumi. Also with lumi lights we have clean render so AA is very fast (Interpolated noise from Area Lights make longer AA phase)
Here original Cornell Box from Cornell University Program of Computer Graphics
Also great story about Global Illumination - BEGINNING of renderings

My render is not exactly as photo or original render from theirs first tests but it is close enough. Perhaps original Cornell was render in many hours (over 20 years ago).
Attachment Cornell_photo_550nm has original photo of this box in exr format.
