I've been following the FB redshift page. Seen some impressive (interior) renders. What do you guys think about this engine.
I know it's not a Lightwave engine but just curious what you think about it's quality.

We just bought a license to render our Cinema4D motion graphics and products work. The best way to describe it is like a biased, smart and fast version of Octane. Visuals come out beautifully looking without much effort.

We don't use it for interiors however. We model in Sketchup and just moved from V-ray to Keyshot for one single reason: the V-ray for Sketchup interface sucks so hard we waste time setting up scenes.

Since I'm the last surviving Lightwave guy at our studio I don't think Kray is used more than twice a year anymore...

We use for modeling (complex models) Rhino. We have professional guy who is master in this best software for modelling. For basic modeling we use LWCAD in Lightwave, We have created pipeline between Rhino and Modeler (works perfect!) include subpatch system from T Spline from Rhino.
For rendering we use ONLY K3....is no way to use other software in our case...simple impossible job for Octane, Corona and others.
We render hundreds images per month with very complex scenes (3 person: LW users+Kray), our minimum render resolution is 4K.
In our case is no way to use other software.
