Are you sure about time? ..or maybe you have i7@4.0 Ghz ?

Here 150 passes test in FullHD.
The benchmark has bad quality (100 passes) and I think some cheating to render fast.
I think we should stick with this one render test over 1 h.

LOL!!
:P for see texture, lighting and other (as preview) after 2 min can see a good image - there are splotch or white point on wall!! -
for final render and high quality it's true long time as you.

Ok here some facts:
- single pass path tracing + approximate GI - it means very limited shoot photons engine - do not mistake Corona Render with Maxwell! This is far a way from Maxwell
- after a couple of seconds real shooting Path Tracing photons starting something similar to Final Gathering
- it is impossible to render that resolution and scene in pure Path Tracing with this time!
- accuracy of GI is very bad but apparently we do not see that much (you can notice some errors in render)
- the tone mapping is very clamped , it means very strong (very) reduction of over bright regions and raising up dark regions. I suspect in internal buffer render is incredible ugly and dark....but it works
- this what you see in the beginning is just nice trick - after a couple of seconds starts real calculation and it means very slow changes in render)
- is not that fast as you think

Will ask G. about updates (I sent all ready mail with some questions).
btw

Here my test of scene from Corona in LW (twice faster). Pure Kray RAW render. Still I have 30 min to get better
Please consider that: in Corona Render Engine is very strong tone mapping which bend all physics. I can not simulate this render because Kray doesn`t have this tone mapper. Why we see differences in render. Almost same CPU from my test. This is not HQ settings in Kray.

thx!
It is ugly design and ugly light setup + tone mapping but render proofs: Old Kray still Rocks ! and potential of this software is huge.

Still waiting for G. answer.

Janusz, can you share the Kray version of this scene? I'd like to test it.

Actually carpet is the worst idea ever (hi poly displacement box).
I will try remodel this scene and post this at forum. Also will add good carpet. Textures will add from our Eclipse package.
