What improvements would you like to see in Kray next?

Post by jure »

Hi,

since development of the next major Kray version has begun we would like to hear your opinion about which improvements would you like to see in Kray the most.

This will help us in plan our development cycles better and hopefully make you happier too! :)

You can select up to 3 options.

I'm afraid that kray is subjected to lightwave's orientation ( what is doing , newtek ? )
as I found.. only version up within same intager number( 9.x )mess up kray's node support capability.
I think if kray would be stand alone . internally possese assets like node texture, fur or so. (my personal wish)

kray has bad AA? Lewis from hc forum did point out that the glass in the sample interior scene has too much jaggies in kray.

Even though GPU rendering could improve things, something is missing.
A VPR.
Tweaking materials take ages as there are no way to preview them correctly. We have to launch a render each time because we need to work the textures under the same lighting conditions.
I don't like this workflow, it's time consuming. FPrime's render is too far from Kray's one to be useable.

I hope you guys can come with a good solution!

VPR would be my number one choice too. I love the Kray render engine and won't use anything else for interiors. Exteriors are becoming enjoyable with it since it's fast, but a VPR is one of the things that make fPrime still sooo useful. That and the progressive refinement feature.

i voted for all except for the network rendering. but the most important for me is i think, better / faster g.i. (ultra super duper F***ing photo realistic result). :)
VPR or GPU rendering is just added feature maybe. since if it can render faster with better g.i., why do we need VPR or GPU? but of course i still love to have these 2 on the next release.
