hi to all...
I'd like to start something useful...

in this forum we discuss a lot about light settings, but non so much about material creation
I want to share a material sampler scene to contribute creation of a material library
I also upload some samples.. (srf are included in scene)

Great job and very good Idea indeed!

You basically got all the basic materials there, from with a little tweak everyone can create everything :)

btw, scene has some maxwell surface options plugin I dont have, as well as some missing textures... would you please check this again?

oops!...
it seems that I leaved some maxwell settings.. but just ignore....
tha maxwell shader doesn't influence the render....

oh nice!
I no have time for share surfaces.
But I member abount this.
This is good model, could You share this model, we have scene for surfaces, but for me this model is very good (no strange wire, basic, easy)
We have another floor for this.

nice scene, it has a bug in my lw the white light switches to yellow by just going through materials, odd. I also see it has a high spatial tolerance( 0.08 ) causing bad contact shadows and the object is floating.

Rendertime can be substantially reduced using no DOF and using higher FG and N value to compensate for bg splothes and turning off full frame antialiasing

higher FG (400-800) or FG (100-400) + tailer command 'prerender 1,2,0.1;gradients_neighbour 0.1' and smaller spatial tolerance (0.01). especially spatial tolerance has influence on it.

The groundmaterial is 100% diffuse and has 255 on all colorlevels, which isnt very realistic, try a diffuse of 80% max and white levels round RGB190..

could be the ground is washing contact shadows out..

It looks dusty :)
you should lower he opacity and keep it white or close to the basis color.

Great scene for material shaders, I think that there can be a great idea to open a section in kray web with example shaders for kray and the kray users submit shaders.
