Janusz, gorgeous work, as always.
Interesting the panorama thing, how do you do that? What software is needed?
Tnx!

Re: substance painter
Yes the particle stuff is one of the most interesting part. I saw other videos about substance designer and substance painter because I'm curious if can really fit my workflow, but since I didn't have so much luck with kray and I'm back to the lw standard engine, before start to fit other sw in my w...

Re: substance painter
Alberto nice video, do you now if there is an option to export a full nodal setup from substance painter instead of the standard surface editor? I mean, not only the normal/bump and the ref blur, but the color, diffuse and reflection... could be a time saver for the nodal setup.

Re: Exterior Node test
here: capture144.png Is very simple. Image dirty for dirt effect (can be anything, image or math) I split texture for two because one is original and second one by color tool for dirt effect (bright old corners): Very good, it'd be perfect if dp edge could mix dfferent materials also and not just t...

Re: Exterior Node test
btw Thanks for the dirt shader subject! here is working under Kray, Edge Node: edge_Node.jpg I think by this Node we can do exactly same affect like V-ray Dirt Shader  capture132.png Another question: is this setup working with lw 2015.2? I can't get it work even with lw native render, it cra...

Re: Exterior Node test
Here my fast test in QMC mode in Kray. Arch_kray.png V-ray 6 min: V-ray_RAW.png Janusz, is that a vray raw or a pp one? Because to me the vray one looks like it has better reflections on the glass and on the bench, and better shadows (more rich/depth, like more AO effect). Maybe it's just the mater...

Shadow pass/buffer alternative?

Re: Leather sofa for material evaluation
I tried tighter settings but I still have some contact shadows problems with the glass objects: they cast a very light shadow, barely visible.NiGMa wrote:Try min dist 0.1%. Its longer render time but amazing quality.

edit: not so important, but why it says always Kray 2.2 in the window settings?

Re: Leather sofa for material evaluation
Yes, I have a similar scheme because when I used Maxwell and the principle for rgb values was the same, but sometimes I just copy paste materials and I leave behind some check on texture value.

Re: Leather sofa for material evaluation
The glass needs multiply reflection. Book seems for me too high diffuse (problem with Albedo). Both I can not show because still I test it in my Nodes. Yes the book is totally too bright, I checked the texture is 255 needs less brightness. About the glass: multiply with another reflection? ...still...

Re: Restaurant concept
@janusz I did some experiment with ani-reflections but sometimes I found incrementally slow, probably I connect the node in the wrong way... @vgabex Is the glass on the chandelier real approximation or a fake one? It looks good but also super sloow. I bet you can render the scene without the candeli...
