Where are the winners? Maybe they are good, too.

Re: node setup not rendering correctly ?
they had a limited time free offer. Anyway I played with it today and it is very slow and unstable , not suitable for any serious work. I guess filterforge is the way to go... Filterforge is v4 I think. So its far more developed. So if anyone has suggestions or even someone like januz who's a user ...

Re: node setup not rendering correctly ?
Hi Janusz , your node diagram is too small to see. if you could share your workflow it would be nice. I had a look at IFX supreme (which is free) and it looks promising ,but hadn't got the time to look deeper. IFX supreme seems not free but really cheap. Maybe someone can suggest that they copy som...

Re: Bedroom design
Looks very clean renders Jure. What tonemapping settings you use? Hang tough. Its the global market collapsing. So many studios have closed and not just big ones. You will find it funny but I'm learning baking because I like to eat :D. I'll open a bakeshop someday when the gfx industry is paying 2 d...

Re: LightWave vs Arnold vs Octane...
I'll just repost what I said in another thread here. For me octane strength is not with archiviz, interiors, productviz. Its faster to do those things in biased renderers like vray, kray, lw. The real power of octane is the gpu unbiased bruteforce which can deal with animation better. Since there's ...

Re: LightWave vs Arnold vs Octane...
Gpu is fast and exponential power so might be that 2 gfx cards will be faster than using one pc in kray. But kray is fast enough with one computer anyway. Vray will totally obliterate it with distributed render, which hopefully kray 3.0 should have as priority. Not network render btw. Distributed re...

Re: kray 3.0 preview
After playing with octane for lw for a while, I must say that kray should not focus on gpu ipr. If it will do ipr it would be better off with lw style cpu based ipr. The preprocessing for non static items in octane is slow for more complex scenes this is due to the translation of items into gpu. It ...

Re: Animation Rendering in Kray
How did you embedd my video? Unfortunately I can't share anything due to nda. I am able to test them and other animated projects with kray 3.0 if there will be a beta soon. The 170mb bake is from the previous the cornel animation? Shared animation mode? Because when I used time interpolation it was ...

Re: Animation Rendering in Kray
Regarding our other discussion about kray time interpolation creating huge fgi files. I think it could be improved. When I render animations in vray or lw I don't expect to get gigabytes for objects with deformation. That would be a lot of gb used. It would be great if kray's uncache mode is improve...
