Re: kray demo reel
WOW, some great work in there :) I wouldnt even bother with the details, maybe just the logo bit as Larry_g1s suggested. Great ambience, the videos on the screens added a lot of dynamic to the scene... gotta remember that one ;) Also, how did you go on about the ivy on that separator on the exterior...

Re: Night shots
I anticipate about 20 fixtures in the shots, does that qualify as many? What does it mean slow, i got two octocores itching for some action here
I tought IES files are quite simple, what do you mean by good ies files?

Re: soggiorno
Looking at the reference, i see how much two details add to the scene: - the direct sun light on the left, making that diagonal on the wall behind. - the reflection of the lamp on the floor Is the missing reflection of the lamp light against the wall a bug or does one have do conjure some extra lw-k...

Re: soggiorno
Good composition, it would be nice do have the materials have a layer of lacquer (clear varnish) on the furniture, just a combination of some blured reflections and some clear one. Also the floor seems a bit too reflective, like roger said. Maybe some more iperfections to the wall, especially that g...

Very nice, mind to share the workflow with us? I never did such a thing so far, would be interested in how you go about it.

Re: first kray WIP
Good job! I like the light. I think you overdid the DOF on the trees though. You must use DOFpro to get good dof! Yea i got stuck with the PS lens blur for the DOF, i didnt try dof pro as of yet, my PS is on a mac i got an older one on a pc though. Fiddling with double size for Zpass and bluring an...

Re: test kray maxwell
maxwell renders are left image 3.5h at image sl 14 1280*960 really the MXW render are without curtains, so the light enter with best quality (imho) Wait a sec, you got me confused now :) The left renders are showing curtains, are supposed to be maxwell ones? Anyway, the left ones are richer in ligh...

Re: coupe test renders
To reveal small details on some objects, like carving and recessing on doors, moldings, seams between drawers and so on, instead of cranking FG settings up im using IFW Occlusion node with sample number 10-12, Distance 0.1 and Dither Disabled. I was just wondering, any reason to use this instead of...

Re: test kray maxwell
Any postwork done on the maxwell renders? Its a nice try, does not really compare well... the maxwell renders are much better. Im guessing its the usual issue of having to spend more time setting up in kray vs other MLT(maxwell of fry ) render engines - which is fine. The ceiling for one gives a muc...

Re: coupe test renders
Yes, i was getting some weird results with PNGs... using 2.2 output gamma in kray and quickLWF plugin in the manner you described with PNGs does get you darker textures in the render than one would expect. Usually boosting up their gamma values in the image editor sorts them out, like it was mention...
